The aim of ERCIP is to develop and improve on existing examples of local River Corridor Improvement Plans (RCIPs) through an exchange of staff and transfer of knowledge to produce guidelines and a good practice model transferable across Europe.

The project focuses on improving the relationship between Local Authorities and National or Regional Environment Agencies and will provide a transferable framework for others.

The ERCIP Partnership is made up of nine organisations from across five EU member states who represent local authorities and regional or national agencies with a responsibility for river management.

ERCIP is funded from Jan 2012 to Dec 2014 by the European Regional Development Fund through Interreg IVC.
